How Does a 323area Badge Work?

The Badges and Who Holds Them

The Rules

• We count years from the founding year a business gives on its own website, like opened in 1952 or serving LA since 1978. We show that year on the listing.
• A chain or franchise location does not get a years badge. Its founding year belongs to the brand, not to that one shop.
• We do not give badges for star ratings. 323area does not show ratings or review counts, so we do not grade on them.
• Nobody can buy a badge, and owners cannot pay to move up.
• Each award badge carries the year it was given. If the facts on a listing change, its badges change with them.

Put Your Badge on Your Site

Open your listing and find the Get Your Badge box near the bottom. Pick a badge, copy the code and paste it into your website. The badge links back to your listing as a nofollow link. If you want a followed link, tick that box before you copy. Each badge also has its own check page, so a customer can see why it was given.

Is Your Founding Year Missing?

If we show no year, or the wrong one, send the right year through the add your business page. We check it against your website before anything changes.
